"My dreams are but a shadow of God's dreams for me," says Fr. Rolly Astudillo. This has become his motto since his ordination to the priesthood on November 8, 1989 in the province of Ifugao in the Mountain Region of the Cordilleras, northern part of the Philippines.
Fr. Rolly was born the second eldest in the family, he has an older sister, a younger brother and four other sisters. He lost his father when he was barely 16 years old.
His first assignment as a priest was as Youth Director of the Mountain Provinces with Baguio City as his base. Four years after, he was assigned to different parishes ending with the Community of Lepanto Mines in Benguet Province.
In 2006, he came to the Archdiocese of Los Angeles and was assigned as Associate Pastor of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal in Montebello for 4 years, then as Associate Pastor of St. Mary's in Palmdale. In 2012, he was named Parish Administrator of Our Lady of Lourdes here in Tujunga and eventually made Pastor on July 1, 2015.
Fr. Rolly is very much involved in the programs and projects at OLL. He has organized and formed an Evangelization Team that would help him give direction and assist in formation programs. Bringing his strong financial management skills to parish projects, he started with the painting of the Church interior, the refurbishing of the pews, new tiles and carpets on the floor.
He is proud of Our Lady of Lourdes School where the thriving program serves children from Pre-school to Grade 8.
